The Bahamian star won gold in the women’s 60-meter hurdles at the 2026 World Indoor Championships in 7.65, equalling her ...own world record and becoming the first woman ever to win three World Indoor titles in the event. Under pressure from Nadine Visser and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, Charlton rose to the moment and proved once again why she is one of the greatest sprint hurdlers in history.

For Caribbean fans, the story went even deeper, with Megan Simmonds finishing fifth and Denisha Cartwright placing seventh in the same final.

Shanoya Douglas just turned Jamaica’s sprint future into one of the biggest talking points of the season.

At the CARIFTA Trials, the young Jamaican star blasted 11.06 to win the 100 ...meters, set a meeting record, and suddenly put the national Under-20 record in serious focus. For an athlete many fans saw as more of a 200m or 400m talent, this changed the conversation fast.
