By Rubén Morales Iglesias: In an unexpected turn of events, the three BDFA 1st Division Football Championship Week 5 matches scheduled for Sunday, May 4, 2025, were cancelled due to a critical referee shortage. The decision was made after it became clear that there were no available referees to officiate the games, leaving the BDFA with no choice but to postpone the weekend’s fixtures.


The matches affected by this decision include:
- Caesar Ridge FC vs Reggae Boyz FC, scheduled for 2:00 pm
- Hattieville United vs Tutbay FC, scheduled for 4:00 pm
- Kelly Street Bombers vs Survivors FC, scheduled for 6:00 pm
All matches were set to take place at Marion Jones Sports Complex, with an entry cost of $5.00.
