Antigua and Barbuda ended their OECS International Netball Series campaign with huge back-to-back losses to Cayman Islands and Barbados on Sunday but finished fourth overall in the ECCB sponsored tournament at the Tanteen Netball Court in St George’s, Grenada.
Antigua and Barbuda went under 64-26 to the Cayman Islands before losing 62-14 to a rampant Barbados. The losses however, did not affect Antigua and Barbuda’s final standings as both Cayman Islands and Barbados were specially invited teams seeking only to improve their international rankings.

Prior to their back-to-back losses, Antigua and Barbuda had beaten Dominica 60-38. The Dadli Shooters had opened their tournament on a fantastic note, winning three straight matches. They beat Anguilla 63-17, triumphed over Montserrat 53-14 and mauled Guyana 60-10. The Antiguans then fell to 45-33 to St Lucia and 63-36 to Grenada.
St Vincent and the Grenadines were overall OECS Champions, winning on goal difference, or perhaps more accurately, on the goal attack of Mary-Ann Frederick, the tournament’s top scorer and overall MVP. Her 92 percent overall shooting in the nine days was the best by a long shot.
Grenada placed second with St Lucia finishing third and team Antigua and Barbuda in the fourth position.
