Rugby Legend Champions Dragons through new sponsorship
Sheriff’s Biltong, the award-winning Welsh snack brand co-founded by former Wales and British & Irish Lions captain Ken Owens, has announced its sponsorship of elite netball team LexisNexis Risk Solutions Dragons for the 2026 NSL season.
The sponsorship sees Owens and co-founder Ruth Davies supporting Wales’ only representative in the Netball Super League, championing women’s sport and elite Welsh athletes.
Based in West Wales, Sheriff’s Biltong produces high-protein snacks using only PGI Welsh beef and natural ingredients, with no additives or preservatives. The Dragons sponsorship brings together the brand’s Welsh roots with its commitment to supporting women’s sport in Wales.
Ken Owens said: “As someone who’s been privileged to represent Wales at the highest level, I know how much it means to have backing and belief behind you. The Dragons have been Wales’ sole representative in the elite Netball Super League since becoming founding members in 2005, a proud 20-year legacy. Led by Head Coach Reinga Bloxham, the team competes against seven other top franchises for the 2026 title, with home fixtures in Cardiff and Liverpool – a new initiative introduced this season to expand the reach of Welsh netball.
The sponsorship will see Sheriff’s Biltong supporting the Dragons throughout the season, including the 14-round regular season, playoffs and Grand Final.
