Emmerton United, Blazers, Youth & Experience and A&A Strikers will clash in the semifinals of the TCB Fusionz Boutique T10 Tapeball Tournament this weekend for a place in the final.
In the first semis at the Glebe Playing Field on Saturday at 8 p.m., Emmerton will take on Blazers, followed by the nightcap between Youth & Experience and A&A Strikers.
In the final round of preliminary games earlier this week, Inch Marlow defeated A&S Stars by 32 runs.
Batting first Inch Marlow got up to 101 for eight, with Jamar Phillips stroking 33 from 16 deliveries and Kofie Hurdle scoring an unbeaten 19 from 13 balls. Shaquille Alleyne took 3-17.
In reply, A&S Stars were restricted to 69 for nine, with Kirsten Odane top scoring with 20, while Renaldo Bourne took 3-5.
In Wednesday’s second game at the Glebe, A&A Strikers hammered Renegades by 90 runs.
Batting first, Strikers posted an imposing 156 for five thanks to 39 off 13 balls byJoshua Morris and Wasim Vankad’s innings of 28 from 10 deliveries.
Despite the batting blitz, Devaunte Brathwaite grabbed 3 for 10.Renegades were then bowled out for just 66 in reply. Opener Renaldo Gibbons top scored with 11, while Morris took 3-9 and there were two wickets apiece for Davien Branker and Sajid Hafejee.
