Adriel Brathwaite led four players in double digits as KFC Pinelands defeated NSC Tridents 78-60 in the latest round of games in the Barbados Amateur Basketball Association’s Premier League competition.
Playing in the opening game at the Barbados Community College on Sunday, Brathwaite top scored for Pinelands with 19 points, while Carl Thorpe added 18 and Rachad Hall and Khenti Morris contributed 14 apiece.
Zane Gaskin led the scoring for the Tridents with 18 points, while Bronson Gibson-D’ermo added 12.
In the afternoon’s second encounter, Burger King Clapham Bulls eased to a 107-85 victory over Warrens All Stars. Rasheed Maynard and Simeon Maynard grabbed 16 points apiece for the Bulls, while Delan Willie had a game-high 21 in a losing cause for All Stars.
Island Care Ambulance Service and BodyxB Lakers were also among yesterday’s winners after stopping PremiumFit Bears 71-61. They got 18 points from Tyreke Harewood and 13 from Keefe Birkett, while Antoine Winter led the scoring effort for the Bears with 32 points.
In the final game, C.A.M Smart Assurance City United Celtics dismissed Fusionz Boutique Station Hill Cavaliers 94-78. Theo Greenidge led the way with 28 points, while Kiserian Adams added 20 and Deroni Hurley 18.
Meanwhile, Deveron Knight top scored for the Cavs with 19 points
