Reggae Girl Shania Hayles ends season with hat-trick in Newcastle United’s 5-1 win over Blackburn Rovers
Reggae Girl Shania Hayles produced a hat-trick to lead the Newcastle United Women to a 5-1 win over Blackburn Rovers Women in their 20th and final match of the 2024-25 FA Women’s Championship season.
Hayles’ goals came in the 11th, 70th and 73rd minutes while the other goals came from Freya Gregory in the 53rd minute and Deanna Cooper in the 61st minute.
Newcastle finished the season fifth place with 34 points from their 20 games.
Individually, Hayles’ tally of 15 goals in 19 games put her second on the top scorers list for the season behind London City Lionesses’ Isobel Goodwin who bagged 16 goals.
The 25-year-old Hayles has made three appearances for the Reggae Girlz.
