Scotland vs Iceland preview
Scotland return to action for the first time since that desperately disappointing relegation in the Nations League back in March.
The away win in Greece showed a real quality, real steely display which highlighted a terrific backbone in the Scots spine.
The 3-0 loss at Hampden a few days later showed the ugly side of Scotland and highlighted a need for major change in the squads moving forward.
It looked a team with Serie A and Premier League winning quality, playing alongside English League One subs. And that’s exactly what it was.

Scott McTominay couldn’t have dreamt of a better end to the season, scoring in the final game of the Serie A season to help clinch the title for Napoli.
Judging by pictures and videos from Italy, it looks as though he’s not stopped partying since, receiving God status from the locals.
If McFratm can put the cigarettes and alcohol down for a little while, he’s Scotland’s big hope and we’re looking at him to drag us through again.
