FORMER Hamilton Accies chief Colin McGowan – who also owns the club’s in-limbo stadium – has launched into an astonishing rant calling out people for RIPPING the club apart in recent months.
The Lanarkshire side are in crisis at the moment, facing potential expulsion from the SPFL over the stadium saga.
Hamilton are in the process of moving out of New Douglas Park amid a cash row with McGowan, who owns the ground.
Accies were relegated from the Championship at the end of last season after being hit with 15-point deduction for several rule breaches, after being found to have not paid players on time earlier this season.
Current owner Seref Zengin has been at the helm since 2023 but with the team’s fortunes spiralling downward rapidly over the last few months, fans have launches protests against him and other key figures at the club.
The latest debacle would see Hamilton relocate to Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld until a solution can be reached on New Douglas Park (if indeed one can be reached).

Making matters even more bizarre is that Broadwood’s original tenants, Clyde, have been playing AT New Douglas Park since 2022 when they were kicked out of their own stadium.
Ex-Accies chief McGowan has likened the row between him and the current ownership to a “bitter divorce” and is only now beginning to accept he is “powerless” in the struggle.
He also claimed lies and a lack of communication have further impacted the process.
In a post on LinkedIn, McGowan said: “Over the last few months l have had major emotional challenges watching something which l played a big part in building which in my opinion is now being systematically ripped apart bit by bit for no reason that l will ever understand.
“If l can try to ignore lies, rumours, deception, confusions, false information, no information, no communication and what resembled desperation l suppose it can be compared to a bitter divorce with one party grabbing their clothes, some furniture and slamming the door behind them with not even a Dear John Letter.
“Yet with me personally still feeling desperately disappointed and let down both financially and emotionally l still genuinely hope that everything works out for all concerned.
“l am the type of person that has always struggled with situations l am powerless in.
“I simply accept we are all fully accountable for the decisions we ourselves make as individuals or as members of corporate boards especially when those decisions effect a whole community.”
