LYALL CAMERON will miss the start of pre-season at Rangers due to an injury issue.
The former Dundee star officially joined Rangers this summer, having signed a pre-contract back in January.
Cameron, 22, hit 13 goals and added 11 assists in his final season at Dens Park.
He has been handed the number 16 jersey at Gers but won’t see the pitch as early as he’d hoped.
The Daily Record reports that Cameron has been struggling with a calf injury and will miss out on training when the Light Blues squad return this coming week.
However, it’s believed the issue is only minor and shouldn’t keep him sidelined for long.

Cameron will now undergo a week of physio work and rest rather than full training.
It’s understood the injury occurred when the player was doing some additional off-season work in his own time.
Rangers are back in training next week before heading to an intensive camp at St George’s Park in England during the first week of July.
The Ibrox side will host friendlies against Middlesbrough and Club Brugge on July 6 and July 26 – either side of the first leg of their Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos.
Cameron will hope to be back to full fitness long before that.
He said after being unveiled last week: “It was a no-brainer, as soon as Rangers came up I was desperate to be here.
“The history, everything, being from Scotland you know what the club stands for.
“As soon as it came up I wanted to jump at it but I had to wait, so it’s been a long four months.
“It’s a new project, really, they’re looking to build, improve and win leagues again.
“It’s something great to be part of and obviously I want to come here, make an impression, do as well as possible and get this club back to where it belongs.
“It’s amazing to walk in the door, it’s a privilege really.
“I have obviously known it was coming for a long time, it was announced a while ago so I have been playing with that in the back of my mind for a couple of months.
“Just to be here now in the building is amazing.
“Playing for Rangers will be different, we’ll be dominating the ball more which I think will really suit me.
“I remember earlier last season I was asked if I would like to play for a club like Rangers I said yeah.
