A PREMIERSHIP club have appointed youth guru George Cairns as their new academy director.
The experienced coach spent two decades overseeing Hamilton Accies’ youth academy and nurtured the likes of James McCarthy, James McArthur, Lewis Ferguson and Greg Docherty during his time in South Lanarkshire.

He left Accies in 2024 and has been weighing up his next move in Scottish football since.
Now he’s back in youth football once again after landing his latest job at Livingston, where he will work alongside Brian Rice and Brian Potter again, along with David Martindale for the first time.
