In what turned out to be a nail-biting finish, Marcko Inc Buckleys 3Js emerged victorious over Rackaman Construction Strictly Business by four wickets in a match that had spectators on the edge of their seats until the very last ball.
Strictly Business, batting first, posted a competitive total of 164 for 8 from their full allocation of 30 overs. The innings was anchored by a magnificent knock from Kim George, who top-scored with 68. He found good support from Raymond Leadette, who contributed a solid 20, while Melvin Charles chipped in with 18 runs. The Buckleys 3Js bowling attack was led by the impressive duo of Richie Thomas (3/27) and Zavier Otto (3/33).


The chase began with Buckleys 3Js knowing they needed to pace their innings carefully. Denley Thomas played a match-winning unbeaten knock of 48 receiving excellent support from his teammates, with Charanlall Ramjohn contributing a valuable 31 runs, while Gregson Merrick added 28 to the cause. Steve Martin also played his part with a useful 17 runs as the team effort came together beautifully.
Strictly Business fought hard with the ball, with Owen Graham bowling with great heart, delivering 6 overs for just 27 runs and picking up two wickets. Melvin Charles, who had contributed with the bat earlier, also claimed two wickets, though he was more expensive at 35 runs from his 6 overs.
The tension was palpable as Buckleys 3Js approached their target, but Denley Thomas held his nerve brilliantly. The winning runs came in the 29th over, with Buckleys 3Js reaching 165 for 6 in just 28.5 overs, sealing a memorable 4-wicket victory.
