By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The stage is set for the FFB U-15 National High Performance Final between Orange Walk and Stann Creek, kicking off at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan on Saturday, July 19 at 2:00 pm. Football fans can expect fireworks as two powerhouse youth selections collide for the national crown.
Orange Walk’s Road to the Final
Orange Walk secured their spot in the championship match with a commanding 3–1 semifinal victory over Belmopan on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan. Elon Castello opened the scoring in the 5th minute, followed by a brace from Iker Martinez in the 21st and 63rd minutes. Belmopan’s Randolph Galves managed to pull one back in the 58th minute, but Orange Walk’s lead proved insurmountable.
Stann Creek’s Journey
Stann Creek earned their place in the final with a thrilling 5–3 semifinal win over Belize District on Wednesday at the FFB Stadium as well. Jayan Avila led the charge with a hat trick, scoring in the 3rd minute (penalty), 49th, and 64th minute (penalty). Avaughtn Baltazar added a goal in the 45th minute, and Devon Daniels sealed the victory with a strike in the 70th. Belize District’s Khalil Velasquez kept the match competitive with a hat trick of his own, netting in the 11th (penalty), 40th, and 44th minutes.
Third-Place Match
Before the final, Belmopan will face Belize District in the third-place match at 10:00 am at the FFB Stadium — the first of four matches in a full day of youth football action celebrating development, skill, and sportsmanship.
