The 2025 Cayman Islands Watercraft Association national tour hit Colliers Beach in East End on 20 July for the ‘All In’ round 3.
A massive crowd – estimated at roughly 2,000 spectators – packed the beach, creating an electrifying atmosphere for the 24 riders who roared to the start line.
With a safety-first approach, the Watercraft Association said, “It was an accident-free event, although a few riders went for an unexpected swim!”
The five classes of this year’s tour are Pro Open Class, Amateur Limited Class, Novice Stock Class, Naturally Aspirated Open (NA Open) and Naturally Aspirated Lite (NA Lite).
Cline Glidden, racing in support of the Cancer Society in the Pro Class, captivated the crowd and, despite battling craft issues in Moto 2, secured the overall win.
Ben Mantel from Hollywood, Florida, piloted his magenta Seadoo RXP-X to a strong second-place finish.
Rounding out the Pro podium was Aaron Miller of Dream Team, who showcased remarkable resilience after his primary craft, a turbo Yamaha FX, developed mechanical issues in Moto 1. He bounced back with a backup watercraft to clinch third.
In the Amateur Limited Class, Leroy Whittaker, sponsored by Dean’s Team, powered his way to victory.
Johnathon Ebanks of North Side Racing, demonstrated his adaptability, adjusting to his new Seadoo RXP-X to claim second place.
Third place saw a tie between Dylan McLaughlin of the The Dream Team and Brandon Elliott of Hi-Voltage; however, McLaughlin ultimately secured third after breaking the tie by obtaining the greater number of first-place finishes in the class.
The Novice Stock Class saw the rise of a new champion in Osberne Scott of North Side Racing, who rode his Seadoo RXP-X to victory.
Allenger McLaughlin Jr., sponsored by Lift Studios and one of several riders making the switch from Yamaha to Seadoo, earned second place on his new Seadoo RXP-X.
Ryan Dixon of North Side Racing, on his all-white Yamaha FX, rounded out the podium in third.
Season-long class leader Andre Massias faced mechanical issues in Moto 2, sidelining him to fourth position this time around.
The Naturally Aspirated Open class continued to be dominated by Alwin Buttrum Jr. of Dream Team, who remains undefeated with a clean sweep of three straight wins this season, and once again took first place.
Chad McField of KY1 Motorsports Racing showed improvement from round two of the tour, securing second, while Malachi Green of North Side Racing claimed third.
In the Naturally Aspirated Lite class, Devonte McLaughlin of Mazzy Motorsports345 showcased major progress, climbing from fifth in Round 2 to a triumphant first in Round 3.
James Munroe Jr. of X-Insurance took second, and newcomer Alex Medina, sponsored by Hi-Voltage Racing, made an impressive debut by securing third.
A highlight of the event was the representation of female talent, with Emma Conolly competing in the NA Open and Lysenia Elliott in the NA Lite.
The tour’s closing round, ‘Grand Finale’, is set for 17 Aug. by South Sound Dock.
