Competing out of Powerhouse Fitness Studio and under the guidance of coach Kaylon Godoy, the lifters will take the stage in one of the region’s most prestigious strength competitions.
Veteran lifter Alida Sharp will compete in the 63 kg Masters 3 division on July 28. A dominant force in her category, Sharp already holds several North American Powerlifting Federation (NAPF) records and continues to inspire with her impressive track record and relentless dedication to the sport.
On July 29, Joylynne Smith will step onto the platform in the 69 kg category. Smith, a registered nurse and newly certified midwife, has balanced her demanding healthcare career with elite-level training. Her participation reflects not only personal discipline but national pride, as she showcases the strength of Belizean athletes on the regional stage.
Sharp and Smith’s presence at the 2025 NAPF Championships highlights the growing visibility and potential of Belizean powerlifters in Central America and the Caribbean. Their efforts continue to push the boundaries for local athletes and put Belize on the map in the international powerlifting community.
