Chargers Volleyball Club is proud to announce the arrival of internationally acclaimed volleyball coach and educator, Dr Trevor Theroulde, to Antigua and Barbuda on August 3, 2025. His visit marks a significant milestone in the development of youth indoor and beach volleyball in Antigua and Barbuda.
Dr. Theroulde, a FIVB/NORCECA Regional Instructor, brings over 40 years of elite volleyball experience across NCAA Division I, NJCAA, and international platforms. His distinguished coaching career includes roles at Marshall University, University of Central Florida, Florida International University (Head Coach), and Miami Dade College, where he guided teams to multiple NJCAA Division I National Championships.
Internationally, Dr Theroulde has played a vital role in the development of national volleyball programs throughout North and Central America and the Caribbean. Under the FIVB Empowerment Program, he spearheaded the resurgence of volleyball in the Cayman Islands, leading teams to historic achievements in both beach and indoor volleyball.
An academic as well as a strategist, Dr. Theroulde holds advanced degrees in Business Administration and Sports Marketing, with additional training in sports science and kinesiology from the University of Leipzig. His professional qualifications include FIVB Level III Indoor and Beach Volleyball certifications and USA Volleyball CAP certification.
During his seven-day visit, Dr Theroulde will provide technical assistance, conduct training sessions, and work directly with athletes participating in the Chargers Volleyball Club Summer Camp, further strengthening the club’s commitment to developing excellence in youth sports.

Dr Theroulde’s visit is part of an ongoing collaboration with Chargers Volleyball Club, and he is expected to return in the near future to continue supporting the club’s mission of youth empowerment and athletic excellence through volleyball.
