THE crowd at Belgrade’s Partizan Stadium are precisely that … partisan.
So perhaps it wasn’t too much of a surprise that Hibs star Martin Boyle should admit to a touch of trepidation after bagging the goals which condemned their favourites to a 2-0 home defeat.
It all leaves the Hibees in the box seat for a Conference League playoff tie against the LOSER of Larnaca or Legia Warsaw, with the Cypriots having a shock 4-1 lead from the first leg.
In a clip shared by Hibs on Instagram, Boyle betrayed a few fears as he was shown taking the celebrations of team-mates and his fans after the double.
Sharing a handshake with the Hibs social media admin, he mutters under his breath: “I’m not getting out of here alive!”
Those goals on the night were his 100th and 101st for the Easter Road club.

For all the din the supporters made even after the 90 minutes, they weren’t hostile at all points of the evening.
At one point earlier in the proceedings, Partizan even held up a banner CONGRATULATING the Easter Road men on their 150th birthday as a club.
A banner held up by the Partizan fans read: “Impressive – 150 years.”
“Congratulations….”
Meanwhile, former Hibs and Celtic midfielder Liam Henderson last night signed for his SIXTH Italian club.
The 29-year-old becomes just the second Scot to play for Sampdoria – now in Serie B – after Rangers legend Graeme Souness.
One-time Hoops kid Henderson, who won the Scottish Cup with Hibs nine years ago, first moved to Italy with Bari in 2018. He’s since turned out for Hellas Verona, Empoli, Lecce and Palermo.
The former Scotland Under-21 star joins a Samp side which only dodged relegation to the third tier in a play-off at the end of last season.
Lewis Ferguson, Che Adams, Josh Doig and title-winning Napoli duo Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay, who’s been shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or, form a growing army of Scots based in Italy.
