By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Premier Basketball League playoffs are reaching a boiling point as the Play-In series between the Punta Gorda Panthers and the EZ Investments Griga Dream Ballers is tied 1–1. With both teams claiming one win, the final game on Friday, August 22 at the Russell ‘Chiste’ Garcia Auditorium in Dangriga will determine who advances to the Toucan Cup series against the San Pedro Tiger Sharks.

Over in the Mayan Cup bracket, the Belize City Thunderbolts have secured their spot in the finals after sweeping the Belmopan Capital City Kings in two games.
