BOJAN MIOVSKI says he’s ready to face Celtic and hopes his goals can help fire Rangers to trophy success.
The former Aberdeen forward signed from Girona on a four-year deal and could be pitched straight into an Old Firm derby against the Hoops on Sunday.
It’s a huge clash for both teams after European disappointments and under-fire boss Russell Martin, who has seen his side fall six points behind their fierce rivals in the Premiership.
Rangers agreed a deal which could rise to over £4m to bring Miovski back to Scotland from the La Liga outfit.
Speaking after his move, the 26-year-old told Rangers TV: “I hope to bring goals.
“I’m a really positive guy, I will try to give my best for the fans and make them happy with goals and trophies.
“It will be a crazy experience. I’m really happy to be here and to show my qualities.
“It’s been a busy three days for me. I trained and met all of the boys . All of them are really good guys, some of them I already know.”
The Macedonian forward struck 44 times in 98 games for Aberdeen during a two-year spell at Pittodrie.
It earned him a stunning £6.8m switch to Girona last summer but he wasn’t quite as prolific playing at a higher level with four goals in 23 games.
He hopes to rediscover that goalscoring form, starting with a powderkeg clash against Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday.
Miovski said: “I did a full pre-season with my previous team.
“I have played friendly games and the first La Liga game in Girona so I don’t have any problem.
“I know the history behind the Old Firm I don’t have to say a lot of words about the history of the game.
“Of course I am excited it will be my first game and I hope we get the three points and I score goals.”
