A FORMER Rangers defender is ready to kick start his career again after a season beset by injury.
He was one of 18 players to be shipped out of Ibrox this summer as part of a complete squad overhaul.
Neraysho Kasanwirjo joined Rangers last year on loan from Feyenoord but his time at the Light Blues was hampered by a devastating knee injury.
The 23-year-old was sidelined for around five months with the injury he picked up while on international duty with the Netherlands Under 23s.
He was Philippe Clement’s 10th signing last year and he would go on to make 15 appearances for Rangers last season.
Rangers had an option to buy at the end of the loan deal but he returned to Rotterdam in the summer.
Kasanwirjo posted on his Instagram when he left Rangers at the end of the season: “Wore the shirt with pride, even when injury kept me off the pitch. Thank you for the trust, support and memories, Rangers family 💙”
Now he’s raring to go again after joining Norwegian side Molde on loan until the end of the year.
The club’s sporting director Ole Jakob Strandhagen told the official club website: “Neyrasho is comfortable at both right and left back.
“He has delivered at a high level, and is an exciting player who now wants stability and playing time.”
A statement on the Feyenoord’s official website said: “Neraysho Kasanwirjo has joined Molde FK.
“The 23-year-old defender, who is under contract with Feyenoord until the summer of 2027, will spend the remainder of this calendar year on loan with the Norwegian club.
“The Dutch youth international joined Feyenoord from FC Groningen in the winter of 2023 and has since been loaned to SK Rapid Wien and Rangers FC.
“With Molde FK, Kasanwirjo will play in the Norwegian Eliteserien, which runs until December.
“Kasanwirjo has so far made 9 official appearances for Feyenoord’s first team.”
