RANGERS loan flop Fabio Silva had a habit of making headlines during his time in Glasgow.
And he’s succeeded again – even in the manner of his departing Wolves, where he has been on the payroll for the last five years.
He’s off to Borussia Dortmund, as a career which has already taken in Porto, Benfica, Anderlecht, PSV and Las Palmas in addition to Ibrox by the age of 23 takes its next step.
That’s reward for a decent season in Spanish football where he scored ten goals in 24 appearances in a team which also included Scottish duo OIiver McBurnie and Scott McKenna.
But the problem is that he’s been forced to deny accusations that he used Artificial Intelligence to draft his emotional farewell message on Instagram after another star – namely Crystal Palace newbie Christantus Uche – had an almost identical one.
The Portuguese forward, 23, admitted in his sign off back on August 22: “When I first arrived at Wolves, I came full of ambition, dreams, and the desire to make a real impact, I know I didn’t come close to meeting the expectations.

“But football and life are about more than just numbers or moments on the pitch.”
He added “Now it’s time for a new chapter, but I won’t forget where I’ve been. I’ll always be another supporter of this club. Thank you @wolves. From the bottom of my heart.”
But Nigerian attacker Uche, 22, independently came up with remarkably SIMILAR thoughts when he joined Palace on Monday’s deadline day after a season at Spanish club Getafe.
He then posted on Instagram: “When I first arrived at Getafe, I came full of ambition, dreams, and the desire to make a real impact.
“I know I didn’t come close to meeting the expectations.”
He went on to say he had “grown” and “learned” and “discovered the true meaning of family” before thanking Getafe — “From the bottom of my heart”.
Fans clearly smelled a rat, labelling the pair “PratGBT”.
Another joked: “A.I. please write me a farewell post.”
A third said: “This is like getting caught copying your mate’s homework at school.”
And one Wolves fan added of Silva: “That’s actually disgusting, fella can’t be arsed to write a goodbye message for club he’s been at 4/5 years.”
The backlash prompted Fabio Silva himself to get back involved, re-posting with a message: “This is a conversation when everybody can see I write the goodbye letter to Wolves on 22nd August!
“I don’t need more explanation. I do this alone and show my gratitude to Wolves.”
