SCOTLAND fans were in disbelief at the fact Belarus finished the World Cup qualifier with 11 players still on the pitch at full-time.
The Tartan Army let rip on social media after Lewis Ferguson was hauled down in a ‘sickening’ challenge in the second half.
Scotland picked up their first win of their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 victory in Zalaegerszeg.
After a rather nervy opening period, Steve Clarke’s men finally found their breakthrough just before half-time when Che Adams got on the end of Scott McTominay’s header across the face of goal.
Scotland knew they needed three points from the closed doors clash in Hungary with both Denmark and Greece expected to take maximum points off the bottom seeds as well.
Greece already thrashed Belarus 5-1 in the opening game of the group.

But Scotland have now leapfrogged the Greeks with four points after they fell short at home to Denmark in the other game..
Clarke’s men might have won by two, but they could have added more to the score-line – if they played the remainder of the tie against 10 men.
And fans reckon that SHOULD have been the case following a horrible tackle on the Bologna midfielder early in the second half.
Ferguson, 26, was snapped just six minutes into the second period by Belarus star Vladislav Kalinin.
Ferguson was first to a loose ball in Scotland’s half and managed to play it out wide first time – before being wiped out by the 23-year-old in a horrible tackle.
Kalinin flew into the challenge with his studs showing and connected with Ferguson who immediately crashed to the deck in pain.
The former Aberdeen and Hamilton Accies star rolled about on the pitch in pain and appealed – along with his team-mates – for his opponent to be shown a red card.
But it was only a yellow for the midfielder and referee Nikola Dabanovic wasn’t even sent to the monitor to review it.
It was a decision that left Scotland fans furious, with some branding it ‘the clearest red card you’ll ever see’ on social media.
Reacting on X, another fan said: “How is VAR not checking that for a red card?! Stone wall red every day of the week🤯”
Someone else wrote: “Absolutely baffled as to how that challenge on Lewis Ferguson isn’t even meriting a referee check on the monitor for a red card.”
Another commented: “No idea why that isn’t a red card shocking refereeing.”
