RIOT police were forced to move in during England’s clash against Serbia as an ITV pundit called the scene “unnerving.”
The volatile incident occurred in the second half of Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier, with England leading 3-0 at the time.
The match had already been briefly halted after a laser pen was targeted at Three Lions stars like Ezri Konsa and Reece James.
But there were further unsettling scenes as riot police were seen sprinting towards a stand of Serbia supporters.
There appeared to be fighting between sets of home fans over chants taking critical aim at president Aleksandar Vucic.
Cops rushed in to break things up as the game continued on the pitch.
And children were seen being lifted to safety away from the ugly scenes.
