JOCKEY Bryony Frost was involved in a ‘serious incident’ – just minutes after landing a £46,000 winner.
The trailblazing rider smashed to the turf when she was brought down aboard 33-1 outsider Lewis Du Seuil in a hurdle race at Auteuil, France.
Her awful head-first fall came right after she celebrated a big Grade 3 victory – her biggest since moving over the Channel.
Frost cruised home on Good Girl De Faust in the Prix de Chambly – a 2m2f contest for mares.
But she was lucky to walk away largely unscathed from a horrific pile-up in the very next race.
Jockey Tho Journiac was in charge of 33-1 Lancray who clattered through the first hurdle.
Poor Frost was in the wrong place at the wrong time as her mount had nowhere to go but into the faller.
The collision brought horse and jockey down in a heap and was described as a ‘serious incident’.
Both horses were up and running after the flashpoint.
It was a mighty crash back to reality for Frost, who has otherwise been loving life in France.
She moved over there last year with riding opportunities drying up in Britain.
She rides for top owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede as part of their Double Green operation.
But her biggest success aboard Good Girl De Faust came for owner Amanda Ingram and trainer Mickael Seror.
Frost said: “We’re beginning to rack them up – first doubles, first Groups (winners).
“Seror, his team and his owners are really backing me, I’m very lucky.”
