HUNDREDS of Arsenal fans m have been left in travel limbo as train chaos threatens to strand them in Newcastle, if they can make it there at all.
Fans making the journey to follow the Gunners’ trip to the north-east have been hampered by a series of delays and cancellations.
One fan making the journey revealed on X: “I’m genuinely cursed on trains up to Arsenal games.
“First Avanti West Coast going to Birmingham which was delayed by an hour and a half and now LNER to Newcastle delayed – hundreds of Arsenal fans likely to miss kick off.
“The joys of our rubbish transport system. Sort it out.”
Mising the game’s 4:30pm kick off is just the first among travelling fans’ concerns.

An Arsenal reporter making the journey was forced to change at Leeds after their train was diverted.
They also noticed that several trains that would normally carry Arsenal fans home from the match had already been cancelled.
They said on X: “New update – On a train to Newcastle from Leeds now.
“NOTE, multiple trains back to London tonight have been cancelled already so make sure to check in with staff upon arrival for what is and is not running.”

An X account set up to give Gunners fans matchday updates linked the chaos to an issue in Doncaster, a stop on the normal Kings Cross to Newcastle route.
The account said: “Problems on the trains going to Newcastle due to a track problem in the Doncaster area, please check with Network Rail if travelling to the match by train today.”
