EX-FORMULA ONE star and TV presenter Mark Blundell has been hit with a six-month driving ban.
It comes after the 59-year-old was caught speeding at 96mph.
The offence was committed at 11.50am on November 30 last year.
Blundell was driving a Land Rover on the A14 Cold Ashby near Junction 1 Overbridge in Northamptonshire when he was caught going 26mph over the legal speed limit of 70mph.
A three-time F1 podium sitter and winner of the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 1990s, Blundell was not in attendance at Northampton Magistrates’ Court as he was handed his sentence on October 8.
However, his barrister entered a guilty plea to the offence on his behalf.

His F1 career saw him drive for four teams – Brabham, Ligier, Tyrell and McLaren – across as many seasons (1991, 1993-1995), scoring three third-place finishes from 61 race starts.
In 1992 he etched his name into motorsport history by winning the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans with Peugeot.

After retiring from motorsports, Blundell moved into television punditry, appearing on ITV’s F1 coverage from 2002 to 2008 when the broadcaster lost coverage rights to the BBC.
