LUKE LITTLER will compete in the World Youth Championship just hours after winning the Grand Prix.
Littler, 18, demolished rival Luke Humphries 6-1 in Leicester to lift yet another major title.
Speaking to Sky Sports immediately after his win, the Nuke surprisingly revealed that he will head to Wigan, just 15 miles from his home town of Warrington, to play in the World Youth Championship on Monday.
Littler said: “I’ll go to the World Youth tomorrow and just have a bit of fun, see everyone.
“I don’t think anyone is going to be my friend tomorrow, but it’s only 20 minutes up the road, so I’ll try my best!”
Littler must sign in by 11am on Monday morning to play the event.

The Warrington lad won the Youth tournament two years ago, defeating Gian van Veen in the final.
Dutchman Van Veen, 23, then earned the title in Littler’s absence last year.
Littler’s decision is a surprising one, given that during the summer he claimed that he’d have “quite little to gain” by playing.
But tonight he added: “I could’ve taken a day off, but why not play the World Youth and the two Pro Tours in Wigan? Then I’ll finally have the weekend off.”

The World Youth Championship preliminary rounds will take place at Wigan’s Robin Park.
The two finalists will return to face off in the Minehead final on November 23… during the Players Championships.
Top prize money for the event is £12,000, a tenth of what Littler just pocketed for winning the World Grand Prix.
Fans loved Littler’s unusual decision, with one calling it: “Elite level s***housery.”
While a second joked: “Those kids gotta learn the hard way.”
Littler is now just £70,000 behind Humphries in the rankings following his emphatic triumph.
The Nuke added: “Very happy to tick this off. Not the easiest tournament. This week has been so tough.
“There are not many left. I learned at the World Matchplay that I have got to hit the big out shot when Luke puts me under pressure.
