DANNY ROHL remains the favourite to become the next Rangers boss.
But if he takes up the role at Ibrox, he will NOT have his trusted assistant manager with him.

Rangers have been searching for a new head coach for the past week after dismissing Russell Martin.
The axe fell on Martin four months into what was an ill-fated reign that saw him record just five wins from 17 matches.
Ibrox supremos Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe headed in from the United States to lead the search for Martin’s successor last week.
And it looked like it would be Steven Gerrard who would seal a remarkable return to Rangers.

The title-winning boss flew in from the Middle East to hold face-to-face talks about an incredible comeback in the Ibrox dugout.
But then on Saturday night, the bombshell update no Rangers fan wanted to hear.
Gerrard had pulled OUT of the running to take over.
SunSport understands the Liverpool legend didn’t feel the timing was right to make his dramatic return to the Gers.
It’s left Light Blues chiefs scrambling for a solution.
Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl was in contention for the job before Russell Martin’s appointment.
And it’s the 36-year old who is the front-runner to get the big Ibrox gig.
The bookies currently make Rohl the clear odds-on favourite to become the next Rangers head coach.
But if he does move to Ibrox, he WON’T have his right hand man with him.
Chris Powell was Rohl’s No2 at Sheffield Wednesday.
The former England international was a key part of Rohl’s staff at the Championship club and remained in post until the German boss’ departure in July.
However, as talk of Rohl to Rangers continue to swirl, Powell has landed a new job at ANOTHER club.
Powell, 56, has been appointed assistant manager to former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere.
He’s landed his first full-time managerial job at Luton Town.
