THE BOOKIES have been left reeling after two lucky punters netted a massive win at Ascot.
The pair has backed Powerful Glory and Cicero’s Gift on Bet365 in a double in the British Champions Sprint Stakes.
Powerful Glory came in trumps in the 2.05pm at Ascot before Cicero’s Gift won the 3.25pm.
The punters could have landed themselves some huge winners off a simple £1 bet.
The odds for each of them were 200/1 for Powerful Glory while Cicero’s gift was priced at 100/1.
The combined odds for both to win was a staggering 20,300/1 – meaning a quid would have won them north of £20,000.

Coral were also forced to payout on over 300 bets for Powerful Glory’s victory.
The betting site have claimed that the biggest single bet was £25 each way.
This landed the punter winnings of £6,000.
Coral’s David Stevens said: “It was only in July that Qirat set a new record for a winning SP in a Group 1, but Powerful Glory has caused an even bigger shock to be returned at 200-1.

“However, as with the Sussex Stakes winner, the British Champions Sprint result didn’t see us clean up completely, as we took more than 300 bets on him, including one of £25 each-way that won the customer £6,000.
“We don’t expect sympathy when a 200-1 shot comes in.
“But it’s worth congratulating those punters who kept faith in the huge outsider, and who as a result can celebrate their part in horserace betting history.”
