IT has not been a great weekend for Celtic managers, both past and present.
Brendan Rodgers was left smarting earlier today after his side was beaten 2-0 by Dundee at Dens Park.
That’s a result that leaves them five points behind Hearts ahead of next weekend’s crunch clash between the sides at Tynecastle.
Rodgers’ disappointment, though, was nothing compared to the blow suffered by one of his predecessors.
Ange Postecoglou had barely got his feet under the table at Nottingham Forest when he was sacked just 17 MINUTES after their 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea yesterday.
The former Hoops boss had only been in the post for 39 days after being appointed on September 9, making it the shortest dug-out stint in Premier League history.

Following him onto the dole queue today was another former Celtic boss, Ronny Deila.
The Norwegian – who managed at Parkhead between 2014 and 2016 – failed to make a lasting impression at Atlanta United, getting the sack after just one season in charge.
The team finished in 14th place in the MLS Eastern Conference and won just one of their last 18 matches.
The club announced Deila’s sacking in a statement in which they admitted they had expected much better from the former New York City boss.
Chief executive and president Garth Lagerwey said: “It was evident that our standard of play was not met this season, and together with our senior leadership team, we have decided that it was in Atlanta United’s best interest to move the team in a different direction.
“Ultimately, we owe our fans a much better on-field product and it is our unwavering commitment to provide that to this community as soon as possible.
“We want to thank Ronny for his time and commitment to the organization and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Some Atlanta supporters on social media couldn’t hide their delight at the news.
One wrote: “I was convinced this wasn’t going to happen. Granted, it should’ve happened months ago, but at least they aren’t standing by this joker. Now actually bring in a head coach worth his salt.”
Another added: “About 5 months too late, but better late than never. Seems like a nice guy, and I wish him the best, but he was just not a good fit here.”
