
DOUG Martin – a former NFL running back – has tragically died at 36, reports say.
Doug, known as “Muscle Hamster”, played in the league from 2012 to 2018, finishing with the then Oakland Raiders.
A source confirmed his death on Sunday to TMZ, but did not provide any further details.
At college level, Doug was a standout RB at Boise State for four years.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers snapped him up in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft – when he was the 31st overall pick.
He played from Florida for six seasons – in which time he was twice named to the Pro Bowl and once received All-Pro honors.
When on top form, Martin was one of the best running backs in the league.
He totalled 5,356 yards and ran in 30 touchdowns, while adding more than 1,200 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.
