DANNY ROHL insists he understands what it means to be the Rangers manager.
The German gaffer, who has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal at Ibrox, has spoken for the first time since being confirmed as Russell Martin‘s replacement.

And Rohl, 36, has revealed he is ready to bring the buzz back to Ibrox after a disastrous start to the season.
Rangers sit eighth in the Premiership table and on zero points in the Europa League after defeats to Genk and Sturm Graz.
The Light Blues travel to Brann this week for their third Europa League fixture on Thursday, which will be Rohl’s first game in charge.
The new manager knows he must hit the ground running after Martin was axed after just 123 days at Ibrox.

And he believes his experience working with German giants Bayern Munich – playing a part in their 2019/20 Champions League success – helped him understand the demands that come with managing a top European club.
He told Rangers TV: “If you commit to this club then you need to know what it means. It’s about respect for this club, there are traditions and you have to respect them.
“At Bayern Munich we won all seven trophies and won the Champions League. I know what it means to lead such a huge club with a lot of demands, which is important for arriving here.
“You have to win and I want to win. We have to be better and we have to be clear in what direction we are going. I’m really looking forward to my first training session with the group.
“It’s a huge experience and I’ve learned from Hansi Flick and Ralph Ragnick. In Munich especially, you are challenged every three days and you have to win.”
Rangers have played in front of a hostile Ibrox atmosphere for large parts of this season.
But Rohl hopes to bring the smiles back to Rangers fans’ faces when they host Kilmarnock on October 26.
He said: “I like that our fans are very demanding. We have 50,000 at every home game and fans want to see wins and entertainment which is crucial for me.
“I wanted to be at an ambitious club and I want to win things – not in two or three years but as soon as possible.
“I like the feeling in the stadium after wins when we celebrate and it’s also important that fans go home from games and are happy with what they’ve seen.
“This gives me a lot of love in my heart to see people happy and smiling when they talk about Rangers.”
Rangers fans were promised a style of play when Martin took charge in the summer.
But Rohl insists he’s only focused on creating a winning culture at the club.

Asked what fans can expect from him, Rohl replied: “At first, wins. This is the most important key. We do have much time but it won’t be used as an excuse, we know where we are the direction we want to go.
“We want to play attacking football so we need to press very high with intensity and have good transition moments in both directions. Every player has to hunt for the ball and create a lot of chances and goals.”
