JOCKEY David Egan has signed a long-term contract extension with Kia Joorabchian’s Amo Racing – with the owner saying: “His attitude sets him apart.”
The duo enjoyed a brilliant Flat season with Group 1 victories courtesy of Power Blue and Arizona Blaze.

The latter is 7-1 third-fav for the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint and its £416,000 first-place prize at Del Mar on Saturday night.
While Phoenix Sprint Stakes scorer Bucanero Fuerte is a 11-1 chance for the 5f contest.
And, ahead of what could be another seismic result, Amo have announced 26-year-old Egan will remain their No1 jockey through 2028.
Joorabchian said: “Since David joined Amo at the start of 2024, he’s become a key team member.
“His understanding, dedication and professionalism have been invaluable to our progress, and that momentum is something we’re determined to continue.
“David is among the very best in the saddle, but it’s his attitude, work ethic, and the way he represents the team that truly sets him apart.
“Extending this partnership reflects our shared vision and belief in what we’re building together.”
While Egan commented: “I’m incredibly proud to extend my contract with Amo Racing.
“There’s a long-term vision to build something special and sustainable, and I’m honoured to play my part in that journey.
“We’ve got a great team of people behind the scenes and a strong string of horses, so there’s a real sense of excitement about what’s to come.”
Egan took over from Kevin Stott, who himself replaced Rossa Ryan in the distinctive purple Amo silks in 2023.
Egan, whose dad John is still competing aged 57, also won the Group 2 May Hill Stakes in September on Aylin, who is jointly-owned by Amo and Al Shaqab Racing.
