ARNE SLOT has been slammed for his role in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup exit against Crystal Palace.
The Eagles ran rampant in the 3-0 win, beating Liverpool for the third time this season.
They had previously beaten the Reds in the Community Shield and the Premier League courtesy of a last-gasp Eddie Nketiah goal.
That winner marked the start of Liverpool’s dreadful run.
They have now lost six of their last seven matches, with Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp pinning the blame firmly on Slot for the latest defeat.
He blasted Slot for making ten changes from the Brentford loss, with the Dutchman picking a starting line-up consisting of several young and inexperienced players.

Redknapp said on Sky Sports: “He (Slot) said, ‘That was a choice I made, that was the team I picked,’ but he picked the wrong team. Make no mistake about it.
“You asked me beforehand and I said, ‘He’s really made it difficult for himself tonight, picking that team.’ He has not helped the young players there, because of the team and the players around them.
“He made ten changes from the weekend against Brentford. You can’t tell me he’s picked that team today and those subs, thinking, ‘That’ll get me a result against a really good Crystal Palace side.’
“You might hope you can, but I did not think for one second they could beat them and he has made a mistake today.”

Redknapp continued: “It’s not just the defence, it’s not just the midfield, it’s everything right now. They have got to show some character. They’ve got some really tough games ahead.
“I haven’t said this very often about Arne Slot, because I think he’s been sensational, but today was a big mistake. You can’t tell me that side was ever going to be capable of beating a really strong Crystal Palace side.”
Slot started academy graduates Rio Ngumoha, Kieran Morrison, and Trey Nyoni, as well as 22-year-old Calvin Ramsey playing his first Liverpool match in three years.
Alexis Mac Allister and Milos Kerkez were the only starters who have featured regularly in Slot line-ups this campaign.
To make matters worse the oldest age on the Liverpool bench was just 21-years-old.
That included youngster Amara Nallo, who was sent off for the second time in his short Reds career just 12 minutes after coming on.
