RACING has been abandoned at Nottingham today – and will not take place there again until April.
The final meet of the year was due to be staged on Wednesday.

However, the venue confirmed at 7.30am – just hours before racing was due to start – that the action would not go ahead.
That is due to heavy rainfall and a waterlogged track.
Nottingham Racecourse said: “Sadly, after continued rainfall in Nottingham, we are disappointed to report that we are now non-raceable due to saturated ground and standing water in places.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back when racing resumes in 2026.
“General admission tickets will be automatically refunded.
“Hospitality clients will be contacted by our team this morning.”
Nottingham’s next meet is not until April 8, 2026 with their season opener raceday.
That is followed by their party night on April 18 and the ‘four-legged friends raceday’ on April 26 before the end of the month.
