LUKE LITTLER is in the fast lane to becoming the new darts world No.1 – after finally getting his driver’s licence.
The Nuke passed his driving test last Monday at the first attempt, having had eight tries at the theory examination.
Six months later, he bought himself a new £39,000 BMW, which has the L25 UKE personalised number plate, which he can now get out on the road.
The 18-year-old will be driven by his dad this weekend to Wolverhampton as he begins the defence of his Grand Slam of Darts crown.
But he is the provisional world No.1 because rival Luke Humphries’ £153,500 cash from 2023 has come off his world ranking.
Littler said: “I mean I just wanted to pass as soon as possible.

“As soon as I bought the car, I was like: ‘Let’s just try and get this theory over and done with.’

He laughed: “I was just like, ‘surely, this can’t be true.’ And then I think it was on ITV News.
“I was just like, ‘alright, fair enough.’
“I didn’t even vote. I didn’t even know how to vote. If I could have, then I would have. But I won it anyway.
“Is there a trophy? I have no idea. I didn’t even know it was a thing.”
