THERE is a general feeling that Celtic may appoint their new boss over the upcoming international break.
And from that, Martin O’Neill would jet off into the sunset after answering Celtic‘s SOS after Brendan Rodgers‘ resignation.

But, O’Neill was spotted at tonight’s clash between St. Mirren and Hibs, suggesting the 73-year-old may be around longer than anticipated.
St Mirren will face off against Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup final in December after beating Motherwell in the semi-final last Saturday.
And after tomorrow’s clash between Celtic and Kilmarnock, it’s St. Mirren and Hibs next in the league for the Hoops, with a smattering of cup and European games in between.
O’Neill has already said he’d be open to discuss a longer stay at Celtic after the Hoops’ victory against Rangers last weekend.

The Northern Irishman said: “The very obvious answer would be yes, I would do.
“But I genuinely don’t know what to expect.
“When I saw the games they had and then the international break, I thought they’ll have a couple of weeks to think about it.”
Many fear if he stays at the Hoops too long, he’ll ruin his reputation, but that’s no concern for O’Neill.
Speaking before Sunday’s clash with Kilmarnock, he said: “I’ve honestly no concern about a legacy, never have had.
“If you’re talking about legacy, then you can talk a bit about Jock Stein and that great 1967 side.
“It genuinely wouldn’t worry me one jot, it never has done – when you’re dead, you’re dead.
“On a really serious note, if Sunday is my last game that is absolutely fine with me.”
The bookies now make both Kjetil Knutsen and Wilfred Nancy joint favourites for the job.
