JAKE PAUL’s business partner says it’s “fitting” that the YouTuber-turned-boxer tops the Judgment Day bill over Anthony Joshua.
The pair’s December 19 scrap in Miami is being promoted as “Jake vs Joshua” despite AJ’s superior boxing pedigree.
Giant Brit Joshua, 36, is a two-time world heavyweight champion with wins over Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker and Dillian Whyte.
Paul only started competing in 2020 and lost to Tommy Fury two years ago.
But Nakisa Bidarian – co-founder and CEO of Paul’s promotion company Most Valuable Promotions – reckons there’s only one name that should be top of the bill.
He told Sky Sports News: “I think it was just fitting.

Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul CONFIRMED for fight in £100M Netflix showdown
“Jake had the biggest event in history [when he fought Mike Tyson] last year in terms of streaming viewership – 125million viewers. Joshua has been out for over a year and a half.”
AJ hasn’t been in the ring since losing to Daniel Dubois 14 months ago, and he hasn’t beaten another professional boxer since toppling Otto Wallin in December 2023.
A swift knockout win over MMA star Francis Ngannou was sandwiched between those two fights.
Paul will rock up to Miami riding a wave of six straight victories, including wins over the likes of ‘Iron’ Mike and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The American was due to scrap 5ft 5in Gervonta Davis last week but the fight fell through due to concerns over ‘Tank’ being accused of battery and kidnapping in a civil lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend.
Now Paul will take on a 6ft 6in heavyweight who has knocked out 78% of his opponents.
Bidarian expects Paul to tip the scales at around 230lbs (104kg), while AJ has an imposed limit of 245lbs (111kg).
The promoter said: “This is a more dangerous fight than Gervonta Davis but a more winnable one.
“Gervonta was small, fast, skilled. Joshua is big, a heavy puncher but not as evasive.
“If Jake has the right game plan he has a pretty good shot at winning this fight. He’s going to go in very calm and composed, and he 100% thinks he can beat Anthony Joshua.”
Paul himself said: “When I beat Anthony Joshua, every doubt disappears, and no one can deny me the opportunity to fight for a world title.”
AJ stated: “I’m here to do massive numbers, have big fights and break every record whilst keeping cool, calm and collected.
