It all comes down to this.
Scotland in a Hampden game against Denmark, with a win guaranteeing a spot at next summer’s World Cup.
As difficult a task as it is, it’s a scenario we’d have taken at the start of qualifying having been put in with Greece and the Danes.
In truth, it should have been done and dusted on Saturday after the disappointing performance and result in Greece.
The dreadful defending that saw Scotland fall 3-0 behind has almost been forgotten about after the late comeback to lose 3-2 and the result in Denmark.
Denmark will have snapped up that automatic spot had they beaten Belarus, only to be held to a shock 2-2 draw at home which sets up this all or nothing showdown.
The Danes have also reportedly been battling a sickness bug in camp which is a real pity for them.
Either way, the onus is all on Scotland to take the game to Denmark.
Changes have to be made in defence, that is clear and obvious. But there’s more than enough in the attacking areas to trouble a Danish side we earned a goalless draw against on matchday one.

Well there’s only one prediction, surely?
It’ll be tight and nervy, with Steve Clarke almost certainly ensuring Scotland are set up tough to beat. The Danes arrive knowing a draw will do so it’ll have its moment of being cagey.
The goalless draw out in Copenhagen could prove incredibly priceless and we can nick it in front of a packed Hampden.
