THERE have been many weird and wonderful tributes to retiring footie stars over the years.
But the Finland national team have certainly made a case for one of theirs being one of the MOST bizarre of the lot.
Teemu Pukki brought his international career to an end last night after Finland beat Andorra 2-0 in a friendly.
It was his 133rd and final cap for his country, for whom he scored 43 goals.
That goal haul makes him Finland’s record goalscorer of all time.
Now aged 35, Pukki is most well remembered for a successful spell in England with Norwich between 2018 and 2023.

His prolific form twice helped fire the Canaries to the Premier League where Pukki scored 11 goals in each of his two seasons in the top division.
After a stint in the USA, he’s now back in Finland with HJK Helsinki.
Pukki also had a brief stint with Celtic between 2013 and 2015.
A £3million signing from Schalke, he scored seven goals in 26 games to help fire the Hoops to the league title in his first season in Glasgow.
That would be his only full campaign with Celtic, however, as he went on loan to Brondby in Denmark the following season.
That was a deal turned permanent the year after.
Given his stature with the Finland team, it’s little surprise his teammates wanted to give Pukki a big send-off.
And they did so by paying a rather amusing tribute to Pukki’s signature look!
During his time at Norwich and beyond, Pukki sported a bald head and beard that became somewhat of a trademark look.
So naturally, all of his Finland teammates decided to don BALD CAPS as they arrived for last night’s friendly clash with Andorra.
Among those wearing the caps was Rangers star Oliver Antman.
Pukki, meanwhile, sported a different look of his own.
He was spotted wearing a long blonde wig, a look reminiscent of how he looked earlier in his career including his time at Celtic Park.

£4million winger Antman hasn’t yet scored for Rangers since joining in the summer but he did find the net here in a 4-0 victory.
He netted the opening goal before Pukki ended his international career in style be scoring the second goal of the game – his 43rd and final goal for Finland.
