DUMBARTON have sacked boss Stevie Farrell following their 4-0 Scottish Cup defeat to Auchinleck Talbot.
Farrell was one of the SPFL’s longest serving bosses having taken charge of the Sons in the summer of 2021.

He took charge of 210 games and was Dumbarton’s second longest-serving post-war manager.
Dumbarton said: “Dumbarton can confirm we have parted company with manager Stevie Farrell.
“We’d like to place on record our sincere thanks to Stevie for his tireless work in the role, and for representing the club with class and immense professionalism throughout his time as manager.
“The process of appointing a new manager will now begin.”
Farrell led the club to promotion to League One in May 2024 but were relegated last season after going into administration.
They sit seventh League Two but have recorded only one win in their last six league games.
