Carmarthenshire County Council has launched a roundabout advertising scheme offering affordable promotion in high-traffic areas including Carmarthen and Llanelli.
The council hopes the scheme will boost local economic growth by giving businesses a cost-effective way to advertise while contributing to the upkeep and improvement of public spaces.
Cllr Hazel Evans, cabinet member for regeneration, leisure, culture and tourism, said: “We’re pleased to offer local businesses this new opportunity to promote themselves in key locations across Carmarthenshire.
“This scheme not only provides affordable and effective advertising but also supports our ongoing commitment to fostering a vibrant local economy.
“We encourage businesses to take advantage of this initiative to connect with customers and grow their presence in the community.”
The signs are created and installed by the council’s in-house team, making the process straightforward and affordable for small and medium-sized businesses.
Prices start at £58 plus VAT per week, with a monthly direct debit option to make payments easier.
The first business to take part in the scheme, Old Oak Dental Practice, already has signs displayed on the Morfa Lane and Blue St roundabouts in Carmarthen.
Adam Llywellyn, owner and dentist at Old Oak Dental Practice, said: “At Old Oak Dental Practice, we believe in more than just healthy smiles.
“We believe in supporting the community that makes those smiles possible.
“Our roundabout advertising is a symbol of our long-term commitment to Carmarthen: investing in the town’s growth, well-being, and daily life.”
The council believes the scheme will help businesses reach thousands of drivers each day as they travel through some of the county’s busiest areas, while helping to maintain and enhance public spaces through partnership with local businesses.
