LIVERPOOL superstar Mohamed Salah made an immediate impact at the Africa Cup of Nations by scoring the winner during Egypt’s opening match after weeks of tension at Anfield.
Salah, 33, went nuclear three weeks ago after the Reds’ 3-3 draw at Leeds where he was an unused substitute in what marked his third consecutive match on the bench.
The star forward accused the club of “throwing him under the bus” and claimed he and manager Arne Slot have “no relationship”.
But the Egypt international returned for the win against Brighton and apologised to the team with a brief statement before jetting off to Morocco for Afcon last week.
And Salah appears to have put all of the drama behind him as he led his national team to a 2-1 victory over Zimbabwe at Stade Adrar.
The score was 1-1 when the fourth official showed the remaining minutes of stoppage time.

Zimbabwe had opened the scoring after just 20 minutes following Prince Dube’s opener.
Egypt equalised though Salah’s fellow Premier League star Omar Marsmoush in the second half.
Manchester City ace Marmoush levelled things up on 64 minutes to put Hossam Hassan’s team back in the game.
Egypt then got on the attack in the first minute of stoppage time as Mostafa Mohamed headed the ball backwards with the slightest of touches.

That found Salah down the right where he chested the ball down and fired it past Zimbabwe goalkeeper Washington Arubi.
The Liverpool star will return to action on Boxing Day when Egypt face South Africa.
Salah and Co will then lock horns with Angola on December 29 for what could be an Afcon group-stage decider.
And if they make it all the way to the final then Liverpool could be without him until late January.
It comes after the club revealed fellow forward Alexander Isak could be out for months after breaking his leg.
