By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Justin Williams of L39ION of Los Angeles captured the Elite Men’s title at the 2026 New Year’s Day Cycling Classic, finishing in Belize City alongside teammate Jyven Gonzalez in a symbolic two‑man arrival. Williams recorded the win, Gonzalez took second, and Belize’s Oscar Quiroz secured third after leading the chase behind the L39ION duo.

In the Women’s race, American rider Mary Joyce Monton won her second consecutive Krem New Year’s with a perfectly timed final sprint. She edged Kaya Cattouse in the last meters on the run into Belize City, sealing one of the closest women’s finishes in recent editions. Kedisha Francis of the Imani’s Cycling Club was third.
The Junior Men’s category belonged entirely to G‑Flow, who delivered a commanding 1–2–3–4 sweep.
Keith Enwright powered to the win, followed by teammate Jashawn Aldana in second, Devyn Major in third, and Ahmaad Cherrington completing the sweep in fourth — a dominant display of depth and teamwork.
The 2026 New Year’s Day Classic displayed strong performances across all divisions, with L39ION’s Elite control, Monton’s sprint brilliance, and G‑Flow’s Junior dominance standing out as the defining stories of the day.
