ERIK TEN HAG has landed a new job in football just four months after being sacked by Bayer Leverkusen.
The former Manchester United manager was given the boot by his German club in September after just two Bundesliga matches.

Ten Hag, who won his first game in the German Cup against a fourth-tier team, failed to win either of his league matches with Leverkusen and quickly fell out with club chiefs, players and staff.
The Dutchman was then linked with Wolves in November and looked close to returning to Ajax before year’s end.
But Ten Hag, who was dumped by Man United in October 2024 after winning 70 of his 128 games in a two-and-a-half year spell, has now made a return to the beautiful game.,
The 55-year-old has secured a shock new role as technical director with Eredivisie outfit FC Twente, where he enjoyed two spells as a player.

Ten Hag has signed a contract until 2028 and will replace current chief Jan Streuer for the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
In the meantime, he will work in another role for his boyhood from February 1.
And the FA Cup winner, who also led United to Carabao Cup glory, can’t wait to get going at the club where he also took his first steps into coaching.
Ten Hag said: “I think it’s wonderful and special to return to FC Twente, where I’ve been a supporter at Het Diekman since I was a young boy. My football and coaching careers began here.

“With my experience in youth development, team building and elite sports culture, I want to strengthen FC Twente’s technical foundation together with the Supervisory Board, management and staff, so the club can sustainably realise its potential as a regional flagship.”
FC Twente chairman Dominique Scholten added: “Erik has an incredible track record in football and his bond with FC Twente has always remained very strong.”
Back at Ten Hag’s former club United, Darren Fletcher has been named caretaker boss following Ruben Amorim’s sacking.
The Portuguese tactician was appointed shortly after Ten Hag’s Old Trafford exit but won just 24 of his 63 games at the helm.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be named interim United boss until the end of the season, with reports claiming Michael Carrick and Ruud van Nistelrooy may also be in contention.
