RANGERS have submitted a bid for one of their top January targets.
Danny Rohl has identified key areas he wants to strengthen in the transfer window, notably a new central midfielder, a striker and a left-back.

Gers had a bid knocked back by AEK Athens for former Hearts defender James Penrice.
They now appear to have turned their attention to Belgium youth international Tuur Rommens.
The 22-year-old is currently starring for Westerlo, who are managed by none other than Issame Charai, the former Rangers assistant coach.
He revealed last week that no formal offer had been submitted for the player.

But now it’s being reported that the Ibrox club have made a bid.
According to the Daily Record, their opening offer is in the region of £3m.
Rommens was a regular in the Westerlo side prior to sustaining an ankle injury in October but recently returned to action and picked up where he left off.
He has made 15 appearances so far in the Belgian Pro League and has a contract with Westerlo that runs until June 2027.
Rommens was in the youth academies at Westerlo and Genk, making his professional debut with the latter in 2021.
He returned to Westerlo in 2023 on a four-year deal and quickly became an important player, with five assists and a goal in his first full season there, making 24 appearances.
Left-back is an area where Gers are particularly light, with Brentford loanee Jayden Meghoma the only option with significant experience at the position.
The Light Blues have been linked with a number of midfielders as Rohl searches for a new number six.
It’s been reported that Rangers are in talks with Austrian side Sturm Graz over a deal for Tochi Chukwuani, who fans may remember being sent off against Celtic in the Europa League.
Another name who has been mentioned this week is BK Hacken midfielder Silas Andersen.
Pierre Ekwah of St Etienne and Genoa’s Emil Bohinen (currently on loan at Venezia) are further potential targets.
SunSport exclusively revealed on New Year‘s Day that Rangers are also keeping tabs on Motherwell standout and Scotland World Cup hopeful Elliot Watt.
