ROY KEANE has slammed the Manchester United board for their managerial hiring record – taking a HUGE swipe at former boss Sir Alex Ferguson in the process.
Fergie, 84, is no longer employed by United but still regularly attends matches and was picked out by Keane in his latest rant.
Speaking about the sacking of Ruben Amorim earlier this week and the process to appoint a new head coach on Sky Sports, Keane said: “Well what happens in these job interviews?
“I’m intrigued why they keep giving some people a job. What happens in the interview where they sit there and go 12 or 14 months later he’s not the guy for us.
“Did you not sus that out when you were speaking to them? You look them in the eye.
“You see who’s making the decisions at Man United. You still have Ferguson and David Gill hanging around like a bad smell.

“Who’s making the decisions? [Sir Jim] Ratcliffe? [Jason] Wilcox?”
As the camera pans away from Keane and onto the studio including Gary Neville, Daniel Sturridge can be seen struggling to contain his laughter at the Ferguson comment.
The former Liverpool, Chelsea, and England forward had to cover his mouth and tried desperately to keep a straight face.
Meanwhile, Keane continued: “Who’s coming into this managerial interview process, you’re speaking to a manager, you’ve done it [gesturing to Neville], you’ve interviewed managers.
Ruben Amorim SACKED

Ruben Amorim has been SACKED as manager of Manchester United!
The Portuguese boss has been involved in a war of words with the club hierarchy in recent days, hitting out at transfer policy and his postition as ‘coach’ rather than ‘manager’.
Now he is gone – with the likes of Gareth Southgate and Enzo Maresca among the favourites to take over at Old Trafford.
Man Utd currently sit sixth in the table but Amorim hardly set the world alight at the club.
In fact, he leaves with the WORST win rate in the Premier League of any permanent boss – just 31.9 per cent.

“You’re sitting there getting a feel for somebody and going: ‘He’s the guy for us?’
“Almost forget the CV, you need something on your CV of course, that you’ve won a trophy or been a manager a long time but you need to look someone in the eye and go: ‘Are you the man to get us places?’”
Keane and Ferguson have continued to have a fractured relationship since their fallout in 2005.
Fergie decided United had to sell their captain after a furious interview with the club’s own TV channel and things never recovered.
Tensions remain between the pair with Keane not holding back on his previous boss here.
Keane was snubbed by Ferguson in 2024 in a list of his best skippers despite holding the role for eight successful years.
There does not appear to be any love lost between them to this day with Keane aiming a dig at Fergie when talking about the current issues at Old Trafford.
United have placed Darren Fletcher in interim charge as they search for an alternative caretaker manager until the summer.
