The U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Federation proudly announces that the USVI U-17 Lady Dashing Eagles are set to travel to Managua, Nicaragua, to compete in the 2026 CONCACAF U-17 Women’s Qualifiers. This tournament marks the team’s first official CONCACAF competition together and a significant milestone in the continued growth of women’s football in the territory.
Led by Head Coach Katie Quinlan, the Lady Dashing Eagles will represent the U.S. Virgin Islands on the regional stage as they begin their qualifying campaign. When asked what it means to lead the program into its first official CONCACAF competition, Coach Quinlan shared her gratitude and pride.
“I am honored to lead this group of players and staff, and to represent the U.S. Virgin Islands at our first tournament together,” said Quinlan. “We are hoping to make lasting memories and learn lots of lessons for our future together.”
As the team prepares for the challenges ahead, emotions are running high, fueled by months of preparation and dedication. Coach Quinlan emphasized the excitement and opportunity that lies ahead for the squad.
“I am really excited to see the work of our last two camps come together in a high-performance environment,” she said. “I am looking forward to embracing the experience in front of us, developing our relationships on and off the field, developing our identity, and competing on the world stage. This is what we have all dreamt and prepared for. This is the fun part.”
The USVI U-17 Lady Dashing Eagles will take the pitch on Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. AST as they begin their CONCACAF qualifying journey against the Dominican Republic. The U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Federation extends its full support to the players and staff as they proudly represent the territory in Managua.
