Northern United repeated as champions of the Bay Bay Cup on Independence Day 2026, following a thrilling 4‑2 victory over Gros Islet Youth at the Francis “Baba” Lastic Grounds.
The match was played on the same day as the third‑place playoff, where the invited team, New Generation, defeated Monchy 3‑1.
The final, played in front of a raucous crowd, saw five goals scored in the first half. The scoring began with eventual Most Outstanding Youth Player of the tournament, Shevon Byron, who converted from the penalty spot in the 8th minute to give Gros Islet Youth an early lead. That advantage lasted barely three minutes, as Dewonte Howell also scored from the spot to level the game in the 11th minute.

Traylon Henry’s first goal of a brace put the holders ahead in the 29th minute, only for Mekhi Stanislas to equalise for Gros Islet Youth in the 35th minute. Henry struck again to restore Northern United’s lead, making it 3‑2 at halftime.
The second half was a much more cagey affair, with both teams striving for ascendancy. Jerquan Joseph’s goal in the 75th minute proved decisive, sealing the 4‑2 victory, the trophy, and a $7,000 cash prize.
Gros Islet Youth claimed $4,000 and a trophy for second place. Third‑placed New Generation earned $2,000, while Monchy received $500 for finishing fourth.

- Most Outstanding Goalkeeper: Jamal Howell
