Prime Minister Mitchell praised the athletes for their discipline, teamwork, and resilience — qualities he described as essential to nation building. “Intercol continues to be one of Grenada’s most unifying, inspiring, and anticipated youth events. The outstanding performances we witnessed over the past three days reflect the immense talent, dedication, and potential of our young people,” Prime Minister Mitchell said. “I congratulate SAASS on their historic achievement, and I also commend every athlete, school, coach, and supporter who contributed to making Intercol 2026 a tremendous success.”
The Prime Minister further noted that the spirit of sportsmanship displayed throughout the Games is a testament to the strength of Grenada’s youth and the continued importance of investment in sports development. He also expressed appreciation to the principals, teachers, as well as the many volunteers, sponsors, and families who ensured a well-organised and safe event.
The Government of Grenada once again congratulates the champions, SAASS, and salutes all participating schools for their outstanding performances and spirited representation of their schools.
